Facial biometrics for e-prescribing controlled substances
I led the design of facial biometrics as a secure authentication method, a first-of-its-kind solution allowing clinicians to enroll and scan their faces in order to securely e-prescribe controlled substances to patients via mobile devices. This feature was developed in partnership with Epic, the largest electronic health records vendor in the country.
It was initially released for iOS in October 2023. Support for Android was announced in July 2025.
